WORKSHOP FOR BUILDING TRUST RELATIONSHIPS AND MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING IN THE WORK ENVIRONMENT OFFERED
BILLINGS, Mont., July 27, 2010: The Council of Visionary Companies will host a workshop by Suzette Fox of Billings Public Schools Adult/Community Education entitled “Building Trust Relationships and Motivational Interviewing” on Monday, August 2. The workshop will be held on the third floor of the Parmly Billings Library building from 9 a.m. to noon. No pre-registration is required and it is free of charge.
The workshop will focus on the topic of becoming an effective mentor by building a trusting environment and trusting relationships with those around you. It will also teach the concept of “motivational interviewing,” which is a questioning technique that leads others to ask the hard questions, brainstorm their own solutions, and solve their own problems without anyone "telling" them what to do.
“Building Trust Relationships and Motivational Interviewing” is the first in a series of training opportunities coordinated by the Council of Visionary Companies. The purpose of this training series is to offer a wide range of topics that will empower attendees to positively impact the lives of others, specifically their co-workers/employees, boosting productivity and employee retention by assisting individuals to better themselves.
