Amazing Youth in Our Community

Every year I have the lucky job of being able to work with the youth who design and paint the murals on each MasterLube location. And each year I run into at least one student who really strikes me as really being able to release their potential upon the world in an effective way.
This year, that particular student was Garrick Sather of Billings Senior High. In the brief time we talked, Garrick mentions that his "back-up plan" for the future was having his own TV show on HGTV. I chuckled and said, "Wow, if that’s your back up plan, then what’s your main goal?" He proudly explained that he wished to become and animator for Disney & Pixar studios and is attending college this fall at Northwest College of Art to help him reach his goal.
His enthusiasm and belief in himself made me step back and say "good for you!" Maybe it’s time we all took a page from Garrick's playbook. We may find ourselves accomplishing an awful lot!
